Enterprise Solution

Enuit, LLC offers its first-class, low-cost, fully loaded, multi-commodity, enterprise-wide E/CTRM solution, called Enstep. This flagship product provides its application users with all expected E/CTRM functions and capabilities, including: Trade and Confirm Management, Mark-to-market Valuation, Logistics and Scheduling, Natural Gas Producer Services, Natural Gas Processing, Contract Management, Gas Marketing, Hedge Accounting, Credit and Risk Management, Trade Limit Management, Inventory Management, Production Accounting, and much more.

Bolt-on Functions

Enuit’s Enstep application can “bolt-on” to any other E/CTRM product to extend the benefits of investments already made in those products. Once “bolted” on, Enstep can fill in gaps of functions and capabilities missing in other E/CTRM products. For instance, suppose the Natural Gas scheduling capabilities of an E/CTRM product are weak or non-existent. Enstep can be bolted on to this other product to provide the vital, missing functionality. The same type of strategy can be deployed to provide application support for any such functional area while keeping the remaining functional aspect of the E/CTRM product intact. Here is how it works. Enstep is built around a trade management tool, called Deal Type Designer, which can be configured to store any contract, or deal, imaginable within a few hours. A deal type’s configuration will include invoice management instructions, valuation methodology, physical scheduling parameters, hedge accounting treatment, settlement logic, and many other things. The configuration also includes an import format indicating how deal data from another system should be interpreted and imported. All deals stored in off-system databases, such as spreadsheets, can be imported and stored within Enstep, too, as Enstep also provides a stand-alone deal blotter capability. Then, any of Enstep’s native capabilities may be used to perform whatever function may be required without having to replace all existing, useful functions provided by another vendor. Therefore, the benefits of an past E/CTRM investments are extended using Enuit’s Enstep technology.

Data Warehousing Software

Enstep can also be used to “glue” together sources of data throughout an organization. Since any one system rarely, if ever, provides 100% of an organization’s overall information processing needs, organizations must cope each day with pieces of data residing in many different data repositories, limiting an organization’s ability to generate useful, timely information. Even the best of E/CTRM systems are somewhat limited in the scope of information they can provide because of their focus on managing data used in an organization’s commodity trading activities. And, each organization’s manner of doing business can be unique in some ways, from one organization to another. Enstep can be easily configured to reach into many sources of data simultaneously to generate reportable information. Such capability was once considered possible only after a massive investment in data warehousing projects and system interfaces. Now, Enstep makes it easy. With a little instruction, even non-technical resources of an organization can create forms and reports, without any technical knowledge of programming languages, to address their own individual information needs quickly. Enstep becomes the “glue” binding together data scattered about an organization’s information infrastructure without data warehouses and interfaces.

Contigo is a leading provider of trading and logistics software products for the energy industry. The company has developed the innovative and flexible enTrader Suite of products that deliver significant business benefit and sustained value to its customers.

Our enTrader product, launched in 2009, is quickly becoming the market leader in addressing both energy retail portfolio management and fuel logistics supply chain management, as well as establishing itself as a serious contender in the Energy/Commodity Trading Risk Management (ETRM/CTRM) space.

Implemented on site, or accessed through a Software as a Service (SaaS) “cloud” model, enTrader’s rich Web Browser interface can be quickly mastered by users who want to combine a powerful trading application with ease of use, rich reporting and an extensible architecture.

Contigo’s success and growth over the last 5 years has been recognised by our inclusion in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a highly regarded index of the UK’s fastest growing technology companies.

Trading complex energy commodities such as electric power can be a challenging process.  Power markets trading at half-hourly (or even in 15 minute blocks) have become increasingly difficult to manage. This combined with intricate trading and payment schedules, add to the overall market complexity.  enTrader was designed  from the ground up to meet the specific challenges of such complex energy markets, allowing a consistent approach to trading any energy commodity.

Sophisticated user configurable multi-commodity, book and market portfolio risk and exposure analysis is provided out of the box with enTrader’s position analysis capability.  Secure and controlled access to Enterprise Class, real-time, ‘splice-and-dice’ analysis and reporting of the trade, risk, portfolio and settlement information can be easily performed.

Within the enTrader suite, enVoy provides fast, responsive and reliable intra-industry data flow management, with minimal operational intervention. Our latest product, enPrice, is a comprehensive costing and pricing engine designed for the electricity, gas and dual fuel retail markets.

Contigo utilises agile delivery methods and state of the art technologies to deliver and implement solutions both rapidly and cost effectively ensuring the earliest and greatest ROI is achieved for each customer.

enTrader’s interoperability is a key feature in reducing implementation times. The Application Programming interface (API) and integrated reporting capabilities ensure that project implementations deliver real benefits to customers quickly.

UK-based Contigo has a proven delivery track record with major blue chip clients such as Shell, E.ON, RWE npower, SSE, Centrica, First Utility, DRAX and more.
